Malicious code deleted, website is clean again!
9th May, 2026 | News & updates
Dear visitor of the website,
for past several weeks, there has been some malicious code on this website, that did not belong here. Fortunatelly, all it did was that it randomly redirected you to a weird advertisement. Maybe some of your browsers blocked it, maybe you did not even notice it. I certainly did not, until very very recently. Immediately after I found about it, I deleted the whole website so it was down for a few days.
The good news is, the website is clean again. Or it should be. In 2022 I added a piece of code to this website so that everyone coming to this website from Russia would be automatically redirected to website describing the war in Ukraine⭧. Unfortunatelly the original domain expired after few years and its new owner decided to use it for different purposes. It took me some time to locate every piece of code involved with this now malicious website and delete it. As a precaution, I also deleted all the databases this website used and uploaded new, clean versions. As a byproduct, I no longer use many of the third party codes that I had very little control about what is happening. While FontAwesome and Academicons are probably not a serious ecurity risks and probably never will be, I found out that I actually do not need them so I deleted them from the website and supplemented their awesome icons with a bit more boring, but secure glyphs and images. The changes have beedn done quite recently and it is possible that your browser will still load the old javascripts from its cache so some of the changes might take a bit longer to take effect.
Anyway, if you would ever again experience some weird behaviour on this website, please let me know ASAP. The website is free and ad-free. No advertisements should be here and I definitely have no money from any ads whatsoever. The website is run entirely by me from my own money and I plan to keep it that way (even though I might use something like "kofi" for people who would like to support the gallery financially in the future). So please, report me any weir behaviour of this website you might experience.
Thank you for understanding and sorry for any inconvenience.
